Week 8 - Cat behind the window

There were significantly fewer rainy days during this period than in the previous two weeks, so I go out more often. This photo was taken on my way home from the supermarket this afternoon. When I came back, I just saw my roommate's cat Jilly basking on the windowsill.

Black cats are not easy to see on cloudy days or when there is no sun, especially the position in the window, the sunlight cannot illuminate in. Compared to other place that can be illuminated, the light is much dimmer.

The other reason that I like this picture is because the color combination in the photo gives me a very comfortable feeling. For me, light colors are relaxing. Especially in the sunlight, the colors stand out and look cleaner.

In this project, I have gradually found that color is important for photos. Humans are visual animals, and other tactile sensations are relatively weak for vision. So photographs are very intuitive things, and I'm getting more and more aware of that.
